NOS-For the love of Bec

In my book, The Nature of Survival, I dedicated my words to my beautiful twin daughter, Rebecca, who tragically lost her battle with a brain tumor at just 27. She was a true dreamer, always eager to enhance her career as an agricultural scientist and explore new opportunities.

Rebecca and her twin sister, Christy, cherished our fifty acres, often retreating to their beloved hideaway—known as the Big Barrier Country. When they were young, there were no signs of kangaroos or wallabies, but now, thanks to a dedicated tree planting program initiated by my neighbors Andrew and Mary, along with myself, we have transformed the landscape into a thriving wildlife corridor. Today, over 20 kangaroos and wallabies call the Big Barrier home.

Rebecca would be filled with joy to witness this wonderful transformation in her favorite hideaway, the Big Barrier Country. Her dreams live on in the beauty of nature we’ve cultivated together.
